125 Years of Excellence: Weihrauch & Weihrauch Sport from Mellrichstadt celebrates its anniversary with international guests
As part of the IWA Outdoor Classics in Nuremberg, the company Weihrauch & Weihrauch Sport celebrated its 125th anniversary with an exclusive reception. More than 100 invited guests from over 15 nations came together to celebrate this historic milestone in the company’s history. Among the distinguished guests were Bavarian Deputy Minister President and State Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger, Bavarian Interior State Minister Joachim Herrmann, and Peter Ottmann, CEO of NürnbergMesse. Their participation emphasized the importance and appreciation of Weihrauch & Weihrauch Sport in the industry and beyond.
In a moving speech, the two managing directors, Felix and Hans-Hermann Weihrauch, recalled the company’s beginnings in 1899, as well as the challenges and achievements over the years. “125 years are not only a sign of our resilience but also of our ability to continuously evolve and meet the needs of our customers,” emphasized Hans-Hermann Weihrauch. Fifth Weihrauch generation in the company
Since the beginning of May, Felix Weihrauch has joined the current management team of Weihrauch & Weihrauch Sport, consisting of Hans-Hermann Weihrauch and Thilo Schallenkammer. “I am very pleased that my son has decided to join our company and that our company is thus continued by what is then the 5th generation!”, says Hans-Hermann Weihrauch.
The foundations for the well-established company were laid more than a century ago, in 1899 to be precise, in Zella-Mehlis. “I am proud to carry on the tradition and to face the challenges as the next generation in the family business.” , explains Felix Weihrauch. Since its founding, the company has continued to develop and is now one of the world’s leading manufacturers of air guns.
